I might be the odd one out here, but I love Winter weddings! Winter weddings are cozy, intimate and since it is around the holidays, the guests seem to be a little extra cheerful. You can use bright and bold red colors and wear fur. Liz and Ani’s wedding was one of the most beautiful winter weddings I have ever had the honor to photograph.
Getting Ready and The Bridal Party
We started our morning in the bridal suite at The Barn at Willow Brook. This venue is stunning; the lighting is especially great for getting ready pictures! I knew from the moment I walked in that Liz would be the most beautiful bride. A red crown complimented her dress along with red and gold earrings; they were like something I had never seen before with a bride of mine! Ani and his groomsmen got ready in an adjacent room; however, the first time they saw each other would be when Liz walked down the aisle.
After the ladies and gents got ready, we headed to Our lady of Hope Catholic Church, where Liz and Ani shared an emotional and fantastic service. I love seeing different kinds of wedding ceremonies; no two are alike, and the happiness that I feel from attending my couple’s weddings is something I can’t explain!
Pictures and The Reception
The bridesmaids wore gorgeous emerald green downs, and the groomsmen wore black tuxes with red vests that matched the bouquets perfectly. I seriously can’t tell you enough how much I love winter weddings!
After the ceremony, we took the bridal party and family photos. The groomsmen were a hoot! It is always so much fun to talk to their friends and family and learn about where the couple met and their love for each other.
After pictures, we headed back to the venue where appetizers were eaten, a gorgeous dinner was served, and toasts were said. Liz and Ani then danced to their love song and cut the cake, and their friends and family were ecstatic to start dancing!
Thank you, Liz and Ani, for the opportunity to capture your perfect winter wedding!
I would love to capture your 2022 winter wedding, let’s chat!
