Sophisticated, romantic, and elegant are the first three words that come to mind when I look back on the beautiful wedding day of Avery and Thomas. Together, with their coordinator, India Richardson from Farm and Fields , they planned the most perfect day at The Dumbarton House in Washington D.C. It was a dream! It felt like an elegant tea party surrounded by friends and family!
When I arrived at the Park Hyatt Hotel, I was greeted with happy smiles, beautiful wedding details and one stunning bride! I always love getting to know the girls and chat with them as they get their hair and make up done. As I captured Avery’s gorgeous invitation suite, bouquet, rings and dress, I was honored to be a part of such a special moment in her life! After sipping on champaign and gracious cheers for the new couple, we were off to the Dumbarton House!
As I arrived, I was overwhelmed by luscious garden flower and the aesthetic of such a historic house. We quickly hid Avery so we could prepare for the couple’s first look! When Thomas saw Avery for the first time, we couldn’t help but be captivated by their embrace and the genuine love they shared!
When Avery finally walked down the aisle, everyone was filled with happy tears. Avery looked absolutely stunning in her Justin Alexander gown that she purchased from Ellies Bridal Boutique in Alexandria. The ceremony included beautiful vows that the two read together. The ceremony was decorated in lush greenery and blush roses, giving off such an elegant, luxurious look.
After the ceremony, it was time to PARTY the night away! Avery and Thomas were immediately met with hugs and congratulations from their friends and family. While guests mingled during their cocktail hour, the three of us captured their portraits as the sun set and reminisced on all the special moments throughout the day! We then cut the cake, family and friends said speeches, we enjoyed a delicious meal made by Main Event Caterers. I just know that their family and friends enjoyed every minute and will not forget their gorgeous wedding. Thank you for trusting me to be a part of your big day!
