Alexandra and Matthew were married in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Their love for each other radiated through my camera. Their family and friends were some of the nicest people I have ever met!
The Venue, Early Mountain Winery at The Blue Ridge Mountains
Early Mountain’s venue sits on a pristine 350-acre property surrounded by pasture and rolling hills. The backdrop for pictures is one of the best in the area. Early Mountain is also a winery, and they produce a variety of wines on the property. Their event hall is a modern barn-style venue with vaulted ceilings and panoramic views of the winery and foothills. My favorite part of this venue is a honeymoon cottage nestled in the vineyard.
Getting Ready
First thing in the morning, I headed to the bridal suite to photograph Alexandra and her bridal party, getting ready and capturing the details. Alexandra opened a letter from Matthew, and the girls laughed all morning long. They got ready, and I headed to hang out with Matthew and his bridal party for a while.
The Ceremony
The Ceremony took place on the green pasture outside of the venue. Alexandra walked down the long aisle with her mother and father to Matthew. As Alexandra was walking, neither of them looked away from each other. The arbor at the ceremony site was a natural wood arbor adorned with matching flowers and everyone sat on white chairs.

The Reception
The reception was decorated to the nines with a mix of round tables and farm tables. The tables had gold chargers and beautiful lush greenery. Matthew had a tux change for the reception into a velvet red and black jacket. Alexandra and Matthew listened to their best friends’ and families’ toasts, cut their cake, and danced the night away with their family and friends.
