Sylvanside Farm is one of my favorite barn venues in the area. It was originally established in 1744 and carries romance and history in equal measure, which in my personal opinion, is the perfect combination for a wedding venue.
I did a happy dance when Melissa told me they were having their reception at Sylvanside Farm. Brandon and Melissa were relaxed during the wedding planning process, their engagement session, and their wedding day.
We started the day at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Dulles North Loudoun, getting ready and celebrating. Laughs were had, and a few happy tears were shed. We then headed to St. Theresa Catholic Church, where Melissa and her dad shared an intimate father-daughter first look, and the bridal party and family prayed over each other. It was such a special pre-ceremony.
St. Theresa Catholic Church has gorgeous architecture and stained glass windows. Melissa walked down the aisle, and Brandon saw her for the first time in her gown (cue happy tears!). The ceremony was traditional, with beautiful readings made by family members.
Once the ceremony ended, we took the bridal party and family photos. The bridesmaids wore blue baby gowns, and the groomsmen wore grey suits. Their bridal party was so much fun!
The reception details were impeccable, with farm tables and blue napkins. The tables and signage were covered in eucalyptus (a personal favorite of mine!), and the flowers were white, lavender, and blue. These colors were perfect for their summer wedding.
I know that one thing is for certain: every couple I have is a part of my family, and they treat me like I am a part of theirs. Brandon and Melissa were no exception; their family and friends included me as if I was a guest at the wedding! Thank you for trusting me on your wedding day, Brandon and Melissa!
